You guys, I’ve been BUSY BUSY BUSY! With the xmas Royal Bison Fair just a few short weeks away I thought I’d show you all a little bit of what I’ve got up my sleeve.
I’ve been teaching myself to dye fabric - yet another extension of my obsession with textiles. I’ve gotten my hands on a limited amount of super soft, perfectly draping, perfectly-architecturally-cut tunic tees, and I’ve spent some time seeing what comes of it. You really need to see these up close, the way they have dyed in places is downright magical. This here is a black one, but there will also be camel/beige, russet, olive, navy and perhaps a purple. Some might even have little white patterns drawn in places, we’ll see! They look great with a pair of jeans and a blazer, letmetellya.

Next up: plates! I’ve always wanted to translate my patterned drawings to household objects, and I’ve finally found a way to do it to plates in small multiples. These here are some of the royal blue and red collection, there’s also going to be a black (and teal?) collection. All of them are one-offs and handdrawn by yours truly. I’m so jazzed by this! Everything is food safe, oven safe, etc, though I wouldn’t run these babies through the dishwasher, the finish just needs a touch of care. Wouldn’t it be great to toss some olives in one of those long dishes? Yum!
More as the Bison approaches - I’ve got new silkscreened tea towels in the works, as well as hand dyed totes with leather straps. See you in late November! xo, Vikki
