You know, I really shouldn’t be showing these to you guys, the ink isn’t even dry on these tea towels yet. But I can’t resist - I’m so excited about these two new tea towel designs! I’ve been playing around with some modern shapes and simple colour schemes lately and these are two designs I’ve finished - the blue one is all about winter colours, snow and branches. I’m one of those crazies who thinks winter is the most beautiful time of year. I’ve also got this folk flowers design in red, steel blue and that mustard gold color I just can’t seem to get enough of, plus diamond shapes! Who doesn’t love diamond shapes? The tea towels are printed with soft-to-the-touch water-based ink on 100% cotton and have two hang tabs. I should have them ready to ship by Nov 15 - you can pre-order in the shop and you will most definitely be able to get them at the Royal Bison Art and Craft Fair on Dec 1 & 2.

Summer is indeed a giant distraction in my life - I find it way too easy to take the time to kick back and work on those three Rs: resting, relaxing and road trips. It’s also a really creative time, and I was really happy to have an August show the Edmonton’s Sugarbowl cafe to pick away at for part of the summer. Of course I drew more plates, this time in 12” and 15” circular fashion only. Bonus: they’re food safe! The results are on the wall at the Sbowl, and also available for sale at my new snazzy webshop. If you’d like local delivery, please .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Happy summer!

Hey! I’ve got a show up at Transcend on Jasper here in Edmonton. I’ve been sitting on the Supper Settings idea for about a year and it has finally (excitingly!) come to life.
An installation of over thirty hand-drawn plates, two silkscreen prints, several framed drawings and textiles, a large poster print and one honest-to-goodness tree await you and your morning brew for the month of December. Y’all should come check it out! The series is for sale - I am selling the main wall’s installation of over twenty plates, two silkscreened prints and several framed drawings, along with a custom hanging in your home, with consideration to your space’s needs. $500 for all the pieces, and a little extra for the custom install. I can also sell some of the plates individually, so do contact me for details.
And that’s not all, my friends - the process of decorating the plates is foodsafe, so I am accepting commissions for all your culinary needs! You can pop down to Transcend Japser and let me know which ones you like, and I’d be happy to make some plates up just for you.
And with that, I’m off to Vancouver on the train (!!!) for a well deserved break. Ahhhh, sushi…

Sanderson UK just released some delicious 50s, retro-inspired wallcoverings in a crazy amount of colourways. One day I will plaster my kitchen in the Dandelion Clocks pattern, mark my words. What a nice change from all the florals and overly whimsical designs we’ve been seeing lately, hmmm?
