Martino&Jaña jazz posters
Last year, DWL posted these jazz posters by Martino&Jaña, which are possibly my favourite of all time. This year, the same group did a totally different take on the same jazz festival and the results are differently flavoured, deliciously coloured, and just as fabulous. Look at that handlettering! Perfect 10!

Julia Kostreva + Beast Pieces
One of my most favourite, super-inspiring blogs, Beast Pieces (the blog for the work of the hella-amazing, top notch Studio on Fire), posted these delicious invites by Julia Kostreva today. I love how there’s not only a colour degredé in the flowers, but there is a little halftone defining them. I can’t resist taking notes - this suite is pretty much perfect!

New Bohemia Signs
New Bohemia Signs is a San Francisco sign painting company. It’s good to know that the craft is so happily alive and well. There’s a great little short Fontshop did with the founder on Vimeo - look for the handdrawn plans. Amazing!

I flippin’ love the radio.
At the veekee workshop, the radio is always on. Q, Rich Terfry, The Age of Persuasion, Spark, the 6 o’clock news, As It Happens, This American Life or whatever else, I’m all ears….and all pens, apparently.
