Jeanie Andronyk + button jewelry

Have you seen the super lovely work of Edmonton-based Jeanie Andronyk? In addition to her hand-carved stamps (I must admit I’ve got a few myself), lightning-fast selling homemade deodorant (I still haven’t managed to get my hands on any!) she also makes amazing jewelry cast out of vintage buttons. Droooool. You can usually find her things at the Royal Bison craft fairs and on Etsy. Peek! Now!

Jacqueline Kari Bos

Some lovely, unapologetically frilly (and rightly so!) work from Jacqueline Kari Bos. Look at those incredibly nuanced colours, and won’t somebody think of the igloos. This makes me want to dig out my pencil crayons!

Guilia Santo Padre

Boy am I glad I stumbled across typographer and illustrator Guilia Santo Padre‘s work. I appreciate her combination of modern typography and old world paper cutting techniques, and how there’s not even a hint of the “log cabin style” as a result. Don’t forget to take a peek at her Dish font while you’re there.

The prints of Julianna Bright

Monday eye candy! I wandered over to the Decor8 blog today and found a lovely post about Julianna Bright‘s prints. What a lovely use of flat colour and pattern; there’s also something very medieval about the skewed perspective and flatness, but the images are wholly modern at the same time. Nice!
